About
A career journey from IT infrastructure to satellite communications.
I'm Mister Ye, a satellite communications solutions engineer. Over the past decade-plus, my work has spanned IT infrastructure operations, satellite hub management, platform development, and end-to-end hardware+software+operations system integration.
My career started in traditional IT network operations — switches, routers, servers — which gave me my first understanding of what “systems” really are. Later, a chance encounter drew me into the satellite communications industry, opening a completely new door.
From Ground to Sky
In satellite communications, I've been involved in operating and managing multiple hub stations, responsible for the full signal chain from antenna pointing to modulation/demodulation. At the same time, I began developing internal management tools — a platform for hub and remote terminal management that eventually became the team's core operational system.
This experience taught me that the best technical solutions often emerge from hands-on operations. When you work with systems every day, you see most clearly where optimization and automation are needed.
Building My Own Tools
I'm passionate about building tools myself. From MESH self-organizing networks to multi-link aggregation solutions, from emergency communications to privacy-sensitive communication systems — each project solves a real problem.
Over the years, I've developed a working philosophy: rather than relying on a single vendor's closed solution, understand the underlying principles, combine the most suitable components, and build flexible, reliable systems.
Now
Currently, my work centers on providing end-to-end satellite communication solutions for clients — including solution design, equipment selection, system integration, and delivery operations. I serve as both solution architect and project lead, coordinating subcontractors and equipment partners for delivery.
This site is where I record my technical thinking, share project experiences, and express my observations about this industry. If you're interested in satellite communications or system integration, I'd love to hear from you.
